My children have very large heads (like my 5 yr old wears adult beanie hats and my 1 yr old wears 3 to 4 yr old hats). I bought the tan set and amazingly it fit both of my children. So for longevity of use this is a great hat. I felt like the booties ran a big bigger than the other fleece zutano booties. They fit more like the cotton bootie sizing
